Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Terra (“we”, “us”) collects, why, and the choices you have. Questions or requests: starpathapp@outlook.com or our contact page.

1. What we collect

Your birth details — name, birth date, time and place, and what you tell us you’re looking for. We use them only to create your reading.
Account details — your email address and sign-in information (including Google, if you use it).
Payments — handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number; we keep only a reference to your purchase or subscription.
How you use Terra — pages and features you use, the onboarding steps you complete, device and browser type, the ad that brought you, and your approximate location (city/country) from your IP address. We don’t store the IP address itself. We may also record anonymised clicks and scrolling to fix usability problems, and log technical errors.
Messages you send us — what you write when you email us, so we can reply.

2. How we use it

To create your reading and run the app.
To manage your account and process payments.
To improve Terra and fix problems.
To email you about your account, purchases, and your reading (you can unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time).

We do not sell your personal information, and we never share your birth details, readings, or anything you type with advertisers.

3. Who we share it with

Only the providers we need to run Terra, each using the data on our behalf:

Supabase — database and sign-in.
Vercel — website hosting.
Stripe — payments.
Anthropic (Claude) — writes your AI reading; it doesn’t use your data to train its models.
Unsplash — place photos.
Meta (Facebook / Instagram) — measuring our ads (section 4).

Some of these providers are in the United States; where required, transfers are protected by standard safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

4. Advertising & your opt-out

We use the Meta Pixel and Conversions API to learn which ads bring people to Terra. When you visit, sign up, view our plans, or buy, Meta receives the event, page address, IP address, browser type, its cookie identifiers (_fbp, _fbc), the purchase value, and — if you have an account — a one-way hashed version of your email. Never your name, birth details, or readings. California law may treat this as “sharing”. You can opt out any time on our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page; we also honour the Global Privacy Control signal.

5. Cookies & storage

We use your browser’s storage to keep you signed in and remember your reading, plus the analytics and Meta cookies described above. You can clear them in your browser settings at any time.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your account and readings while your account is open and delete them after you close it. Payment records are kept as long as tax law requires. Analytics are kept for a limited time, then deleted or aggregated.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including the EU, UK and California), you can ask to see, correct, download, or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Email starpathapp@outlook.com and we’ll respond within the time the law requires. Using these rights won’t affect how we treat you. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority.

8. Security

Your data is encrypted in transit and protected so that only you can access your own readings (and our team, for support). No system is perfectly secure, but we’ll tell you about a serious breach where the law requires.

9. Children

Terra is not for anyone under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes

If we update this policy we’ll change the date above, and tell you about significant changes.
